Long showers are the worst.
First off, you’re naked and looking at yourself, going ughhh and there’s an elevated chance of getting shampoo in your eye.
Sasuke winces as he rubs at his eyes, effectively making it worse.
I wish you’d care a little more - who’d said that to him?
He cares. He cares enough that it hurt and he wants to stop. People hurt you. Being happy by depending on people - how stupid, when people change constantly, like the summer winds.
My body is disgusting, Sasuke thinks. It’s a fact. He imagines himself talking to Naruto, who’d say, “Nooo, you’re so good-looking!” He’d smirk and nod, appreciate it, but it would hardly change the facts.
So many things he could tell Naruto. Tell him and listen to praises and reassurances. Of course he wanted that.
“I am human,” Sasuke murmurs, “and I need to be loved.”
How pathetic.
I care about Naruto and Sakura, Sasuke notes. I want to make people happy.
But… why don’t they make me happy anymore?
I care.
Sasuke knows he can come off as apathetic, and sometimes he’d like to change that. If anyone, he’d want to change for Naruto.
Every time Naruto smiles, he falls a little more in love with him.
If anyone - it would be for him.
